Patent & Design Registration Drawings

Patent draftsman service and design registration representations prepared to IP Australia and WIPO/PCT expectations.

I turn sketches, photos or CAD files into clean, examiner-ready figure sets. Delivered fast, at a fixed fee, and under NDA when required. I work with patent attorneys, inventors, R&D teams and industrial designers to make filing a smooth and painless experience.

Patent application drawings explain how the invention works, tying each element to the specification (reference numerals, sections, exploded views).

Design registration drawings define what the product looks like, using a consistent set of views (and broken lines where needed) to claim appearance only.

Service Features

Examiner-Ready Compliance
Figures formatted for filing: correct sheet size and margins, clear figure/page numbering, consistent line weights and reference numerals. For design registrations, I use view conventions and disclaimers that present the design unambiguously.
The Right Views
Orthographic (front/rear/left/right/top/bottom), perspective/isometric, sections, details and exploded views as needed. For designs, I’ll recommend the complete set of views (plus optional perspective) to show all visual features clearly.
Fast, Fixed-Fee, Confidential
Predictable pricing once I’ve reviewed your material. Secure file handling, NDAs welcome, and white-label delivery for law firms. Typical turnaround 4–6 business days; rush service available.
Clean Deliverables
You receive an examiner-ready PDF pack (A4 sheets with numbered figures) plus optional AI/SVG/DWG source files. I include a tidy figure list to drop into your specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between patent drawings and design registration drawings?

Patent drawings support the written specification and use reference numerals and functional views (sections, details, exploded).

Design registrations focus on the product’s appearance, using a complete, consistent set of views and conventions (e.g., broken lines) to clarify what is and isn’t claimed.

Which jurisdictions do you support?

Primarily IP Australia and PCT (WIPO) filings. I can adapt styling for other offices on request.

What files can I provide to start?

CAD (STEP/DWG/IGES), sketches, photos or a prototype. Any draft claims or design notes help me choose the most efficient view set.

How many views will I need?
Enough to clearly show all relevant features. I’ll propose a view plan after reviewing your material – typically 6 orthographic views + a perspective for designs, and whatever combination best supports the patent claims.
How long does it take?
Standard delivery is 4–6 business days after materials arrive. Rush service available when needed.
Will you sign an NDA and work white-label for my firm?
Yes. I regularly work under NDA and can deliver white-label files.
What are white-label files?
Drawings delivered without my branding, formatted to your firm’s standards so you can file or present them as your own.
What if the attorney or examiner requests tweaks?
Minor formalities adjustments to the submitted set are included so the figures remain compliant.
Do you supply source files as well as PDFs?

Yes – AI/SVG/DWG on request, alongside the filing-ready PDF pack.
