Vector isometric affordable living town illustration

This town illustration was  commissioned by Plum Design for Sunshine Coast City Council to depict the 7 principles of affordable living for building sustainable communities.
The brief was to depict the entire community, including a central CBD with transport linking inner town to outer rural areas through the suburbs. The architecture, building and town layout needed to be quintessentially Australian and show different types of transport options, living options and business types in an interesting and engaging style.

The process involved researching town plans and producing a pencil sketch of a rough layout with transport grids and building locations. Once the sketch was approved, the detail was illustrated and built as a layered file, bringing people, cars, bicycles and other details to life.
