Killer Software – Create Magazine (Engineers Australia) Technical Illustrations

I produced the technical illustrations featured in Killer Software, an article published in Create Magazine, the official publication of Engineers Australia.

The article explores the infamous Therac-25 radiation overdose incidents – a defining moment in engineering safety and software reliability. My illustrations were created to clearly explain the machine’s complex internal structure and the sequence of failures that led to the tragic outcomes.

The diagrams included cross-sectional views of the Therac-25 linear accelerator, safety interlocks, and beam delivery system, visually supporting the article’s deep dive into the intersection of software engineering and medical technology.
